Chevy Trim Differences

Multiple Chevrolet vehicles parked in a row

At our Chevy dealership near Charleston, we know that finding the right model is just the first step towards owning the car of your dreams. The next major step you'll need to take is picking out a trim that features all the equipment and amenities that you're looking for. And since we're incredibly familiar with the Chevy trim lineup here at our Ravenel, SC dealership, we'd love the chance to answer some of the most frequently asked questions about your options right here on our website.

The Chevy Silverado 1500 was fully redesigned for its 2019 model year, and that came with some significant changes to the Chevy Silverado 1500 trim lineup, the most significant of which are the new Trail Boss trims.

Now, what makes the Chevy Silverado 1500 Trial Boss trims so special is the fact that they have a two-inch standard factory lift, giving them greater ground clearance and articulation for off-road driving. Add a Z71 Off-Road Package on top of that, and you've got a truck that's more than capable for adventures off the beaten path.

While both the Chevy Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss and Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss come with the Z71 Off-Road Package and two-inch suspension lift mentioned above, there are some subtle feature differences that set them apart.

For example, with the Chevy Silverado 1500 Custom Trail Boss, you get front tow hooks, 18-inch black wheels, dark-tinted glass, and power-folding, heated mirrors.

On the other hand, if you spring for the Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss, you'll get a more powerful 355-horsepower 5.3-liter V8 engine standard, dual exhaust ports, and even some unique LT Trail Boss exterior trim.

That being said, both are plenty capable when it comes to traveling over rough terrain, so the choice largely comes down to which equipment packages appeal to you the most.

With the bold contrast of blacked out exterior trim contrasted with sharp red accents, it's hard not to fall in love with Chevy vehicles that're equipped with the Redline Edition package at first glance. AT our Chevy dealership near Charleston, SC, you'll find plenty of models and trims that're eligible for this package, including…

  • Chevy Cruze LT sedan
  • Chevy Cruze LT hatchback
  • Chevy Malibu LT
  • Chevy Camaro LT and Chevy Camaro SS
  • Chevy Trax LT
  • Chevy Equinox LT
  • Chevy Traverse Premier
  • Chevy Colorado LT
  • Chevy Silverado Double Cab / Crew Cab LT
  • Chevy Silverado Double Cab / Crew Cab Z71
  • Chevy Blazer

Both the Chevy Colorado Trail Runner and Chevy Colorado ZR2 feature plenty of outstanding off-road gear for adventurous drivers here in Ravenel, SC, but there's definitely some key differences between the two.

The Chevy Colorado Trail Runner is designed for moderate off-road terrain, with features like ZR2 Skid Plates, ZR2 Rock protection, and Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac® tires.

On the other hand, the Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison was developed in concert with American Expedition Vehicles, one of the premier names in off-road vehicle design. It features 17-inch wheels with AEV-designed wheel flares, AEV-stamped steel bumpers, front winch provisions and rear reacovery points, Boron steel skid plates, and more, making it perfect for rock crawling and steep, uneven terrain travel.

With so many different models available at our Ravenel, SC dealership, there's plenty of other Chevy trim comparisons to be made. So, if you're looking to really weigh your options before you make a commitment, drop in on us here at Marchant Chevrolet to have a chat and take a test drive or two today.
